WEC and member companies The Coca-Cola Company, FEMSA, and Marriott International will announce the final results of their two-year projects, funded by the U.S. Department of State, on September 20 and 22 in Managua and San Jose, respectively. Implemented through WEC’s Greening the Supply Chain strategic initiative, the projects have focused on energy efficiency, water conservation, cost reductions and other improvements among twenty-five small and medium enterprise suppliers in five Marriott International hotels, Coca-Cola/FEMSA bottling operations and food processing, fishery and slaughterhouse businesses in Nicaragua.
