As the environmental and economic consequences of climate change become more evident business, government and their stakeholders are rethinking the development and application of new products, investments in green infrastructure and new partnerships for achieving success. Given the fact that during the current economic crisis governments are investing great sums to stimulate economic activity, this is also an opportunity for green innovation on a large scale.

These solutions range from creating energy efficient infrastructures and buildings to hundreds of “small” energy-efficiency measures as well as to installing renewable energy at a faster pace. However, a coordinated approach is essential and has to be organized.

The objectives of this Roundtable include:

  • Exchanging ideas about strategies to increase the scale and pace of energy-efficiency solutions
  • Enabling sustainability leaders from global corporations to build additional competencies and perspectives in comparing their practical solutions for GHG reduction with other global leaders
  • Comparing and activating partnerships between companies, cities, NGO’s and other organizations that lead to rapid reduction of GHG emissions, sometimes even at low cost

The Roundtable is structured to provide a highly interactive process of discussion among approximately 30 global environmental and sustainability leaders. It is an invitation-only event and no media will attend.
