WEC Elects Two New Board Members

Washington, D.C., September 21, 2005 – The World Environment Center (WEC) recently announced the election of two members to its Board of Directors, Ms. Jan Dell with CH2M Hill and Mr. Robert Accarino with Abbott.

In her 20+ years of experience, she has worked closely with global clients in the petroleum, chemical, footwear, apparel, entertainment and manufacturing industries to effect eco-efficiency improvements in their business processes and supply chains.

Accarino joined Abbott in 1997 and is currently Director, Environmental Affairs. He is responsible for providing overall direction for Abbott’s environmental commitment to global citizenship through policy development, strategic planning, and outreach programs and partnerships.

“We are delighted that Jan and Bob have joined our Board,” said Elizabeth Lowery, WEC Board Chair and Vice President of Environment & Energy at General Motors. “Their diverse experience will add tremendous value to WEC’s efforts to work with public and private sectors and the NGO community to promote sustainable development.”
