Membership Roundtables: Learning & Building Competency
Formerly known as IEF Meetings
- Serves multinational manufacturing and processing corporations represented by senior-level Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S); Purchasing & Supplier Relations; and Corporate Social Responsibility executives.
- Provides meetings, workshops, exchange of information and expertise, and a worldwide network of contacts.
- Establishes and promotes partnerships among industry, government and non-governmental organizations.
Since its inception in 1977, the WEC membership forum, previously known as the International Environment Forum (IEF) has held over 150 meetings with environmental ministers or other high-level government officials. Approximately two roundtables per year are held in Europe, and two more in North America and Asia. This provides members and other participating companies the opportunity to interact with global peers, along with access to a diverse international network of government representatives, global managers and representatives of international organizations.
The meetings provide the following value:
- Renowned experts from outside industry, such as academia, government or even investment groups, who offer their unique perspective on the issue at hand.
- Leaders from within industry that are able to present to our membership, often among their own competitors, on best practices and lessons learned regarding the issue of the meeting. The intimate setting of these meetings – often in a member’s headquarters – and the knowledge and experience of our member delegates allow for an honest exchange of ideas and case studies.
- The ability to network and develop relationships with colleagues of wide array of experiences and backgrounds in the field of EH&S and Corporate Social Responsibility.
The Members Page
WEC Members have an exclusive access to this site, a section intended as a complement to regular WEC events and activities. The members access full contact details of their network peers and generously share tools as well as topical industry case studies from all Roundtables and other related WEC events.
Participating Companies
About forty global manufacturing, processing and service corporations from twelve diverse industrial and finance sectors are currently participating in the WEC Membership.
