The Ford Motor Company, the winner of this year’s Gold Medal Award for International Leadership in Sustainable Development, has made a visionary commitment to a future of sustainable mobility through its leadership in electric vehicles, alternative fuels, energy efficiency, and clean production.

Yet one company, even one industry, cannot bring about transformative change by itself. Changing human patterns of mobility in time to address the global challenges of climate change, urbanization, population growth, and biodiversity loss will require system changes that include automotive manufacturing, energy production, information technology, infrastructure development, urban & regional planning, and more.

On the occasion of awarding the Gold Medal to Ford Motor Company, the World Environment Center will convene an Executive Roundtable on the Future of Sustainable Mobility to learn from leaders in these sectors about their efforts to drive systems change in transportation and discuss further efforts required in the years ahead.

The Roundtable will be held virtually in a webinar format, with invited guests to include senior executives from WEC member companies and other international corporations, senior government officials, and thought leaders with environmental, scientific, and academic organizations. Agenda for the event is shared here.

This is an invitation only event.
